To participate in our daycare program or to play with other dogs during their boarding stay, your pup will have to come in for an initial assessment day! We book assessments Monday through Friday about a week in advance. Read more about the assessment process below!

What To Expect On Your Pup’s Initial Assessment Day
To uphold our commitment to our current clients to provide safe, clean fun, each new pup undergoes an assessment process on their first day! Our skilled and experienced assessors determine play style, energy type, and personality traits in each dog to place them in the most fitting play group and ensure they have the most positive first day experience possible! After spending the day with your pup and deciding they are a fit for our daycare program, our assessors make their final recommendations and just like that, you’re a part of the pack!
New Client FAQs
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Please bring your dog’s updated vaccination records for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella! We will also need the Terms & Conditions Contract and Pet Profile forms from above. You may also bring a lunch time snack or meal and/or medications if necessary. No need to bring toys, beds, or blankets on their first day or for daycare. We’ve got those covered!
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN ASSESSMENT?
Our managers will be in contact with you via email shortly after you fill out the new client enrollment form! You may also give us a call to schedule after you have received our welcome email!
WHEN CAN I SCHEDULE AN ASSESSMENT?
We schedule assessments Monday through Friday only with a scheduled drop off time that you will pick between 6:30am and 9:30am! Our assessment appointments book up quickly, so we do recommend scheduling at least a week in advance.
CAN I TOUR YOUR FACILITY?
Yes! We are open for tours all 7 days of the week between the hours of 1:30pm and 3:30pm! We do recommend, however, to leave your pup at home for the tour!
WHAT DOES THE ASSESSMENT COST?
The assessment day is a $30 fee and a $24 fee for each additional dog.
MY DOG PASSED THE ASSESSMENT! WHAT NOW?
Welcome to our pack! Feel free to give us a call, email us, or fill out the reservation form on our website to schedule your dog for daycare or boarding! We recommend booking daycare at least 24 hours in advance and boarding at least a month in advance! We recommend booking holiday reservations two months in advance!
WHAT IF MY DOG DOES NOT PASS THE ASSESSMENT?
We understand that daycare can be overwhelming for some dogs, especially on their first day. In certain situations, our assessors will recommend a secondary assessment that will help your dog continue to get familiar with us and our facility. Sometimes it just takes a few times coming for your dog to truly blossom!
In other cases, we may determine that your dog is not fit for our daycare environment. If that is the decision, your dog is absolutely still welcome to board with us and receive one on one play with our staff!
Dog Dayze reserves the right to terminate any service agreement and refuse further services to any Client’s dog in its sole discretion.
WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT MY DOG TO PLAY AROUND OTHER DOGS?
No worries! If you do not want your dog to play around other dogs while they board with us, they will not have to come in for an assessment day prior. We will be sure to spend ample one on one time with them during their stay!
